About us

Welcome to Hope Uganda Foundation
We are a Community-Based Organization (CBO) dedicated to transforming the lives of underprivileged children and youth in Uganda. Our mission is to provide access to education, vocational skills, and music programs that empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty and create a better future for themselves and their communities.
Meet The Founder

MEET THE FOUNDER
Hope Uganda Foundation was founded in 2015 by Ssebuufu Abdul Karim, a passionate and resilient individual who once lived as a street child. Having faced the harsh realities of life on the streets, Ssebuufu was motivated by a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others facing similar struggles. Despite the challenges of his early life, he found hope and purpose through education and music. This inspired him to create the foundation as a means to give back to the community and provide opportunities for vulnerable youth to overcome their circumstances.

Challenges we face
Despite our successes, Hope Uganda Foundation faces many challenges. Some of the key difficulties include:
Lack of permanent premise
Our organisation does not currently have a permanent building or facility, which makes it difficult to run consistent programs, and to provide a stable learning environment
Limited funding
As a non-profit organisation, we rely heavily on donations and funding, and we often face financial constraints that hinder the expansion of our programs
Deliquency in education
Many of the children we work with come from unstable backgrounds and therefore struggle to stay in school due to financial challenges, family issues and other obstacles.
